Bibliography
Most of the quotations in the introduction are from Alden Nowlan's enjoyable book, Campobello: The Outer Island. It is the most complete account I have found of the island, its people, and its history. Much of the information in it is taken from an unpublished manuscript by Mrs. John Gallagher, now a Campobello resident.
