FREE PICTURES! NEW ENGLAND SEEN contains photographs from around the six-state region displaying it's beauty throughout the seasons. All of the pictures are free for your personal use! Print them, view them on your computer as wallpaper or as a screensaver, or send them to family and friends to remind them of the beauty of New England. The only limitation is that you may not sell the pictures, you must not remove the copyright notice contained within each picture, and you may not publish them in a magazine or other commercial publication or on a Web site without written permission from me.

If you are unfamiliar with the process of downloading pictures to your computer, use the following instructions depending on which type of computer you have.

Windows Users

Go to the page displaying the size picture that you want to download. Using the right button of your mouse, click on the picture itself and hold the mouse down until you see a menu displayed. Choose "Set As Wallpaper" from the menu.

Alternatively, using the right button of your mouse, click on the picture itself and hold the mouse down until you see a menu displayed. Choose "Save Picture (or Image) As..." and save the picture on your computer's hard drive. Be sure to note where you save it so that you can find that place when you decide to print the picture or when you indicate the wallpaper image you want to use.

Macintosh Users

Go to the page displaying the size picture that you want to download. Click on the picture itself and hold the mouse button down until you see a menu displayed. Choose "Save this image as..." from the menu and save the picture on your computer's hard drive. Be sure to note where you save it so that you can find it when you decide to print the picture or when you choose "Place Picture" in the "Desktop" tab of the "Appearance" control panel.

If you don't know which size picture to use, do this:

1. Open your Web browser's window as wide as possible.
2. Look at the ruler below and see which size (640, 800, or 1024 pixels) best fits your screen width.
3. Use that size as the optimum size for your wallpaper picture.
4. Return to the page containing the photo that interests you and download it.
